Auxiliary to the Cornwall Hospital

The Auxiliary to the Cornwall Community Hospital is an organization of enthusiastic active members who are committed to supporting volunteer resources at Cornwall Community Hospital.  The Auxiliary is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to volunteerism and fundraising.

The Auxiliary takes a lead role to organize the following Volunteer Resource Programs:

  • Auxiliary Gift Shop;
  • Auxiliary Lottery Ticket Sales;
  • Emergency Waiting Room Information Desk;
  • Information Desk Greeter Volunteers; and
  • Fundraising events such as luncheons.

The Auxiliary has a long and rich history of supporting Cornwall Community Hospital that began in 1949 as the Women’s Auxiliary to the Cornwall General Hospital.   Fellowship and knowing their contributions positively affect the care and services received by patients, families, visitors and staff, is what motivates this wonderful Volunteer Team.  The Auxiliary donates significant funds every year to CCH for the purchase of needed hospital equipment and is one of the hospital’s greatest donors.

In addition, the Auxiliary organizes general meetings and luncheons for their members.  The Auxiliary requires volunteers to be age 18 or older and there is an annual membership fee of $5.00.

The Auxiliary to the Cornwall Community Hospital is led by a volunteer Board of Directors which are elected each year by the Auxiliary Membership.
