MyChart™ Returns for Cornwall Hospital
2024-05-18
Following an extended maintenance
period, we are excited to share that MyChart™ is now back online and
reconnecting care for users from Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH).
For those who might be new to
MyChart™, this mobile app and online platform offers remote access to your
Cornwall Hospital medical records, exam notes, lab results, self-tracking
tools, and more. Whether you're on the go or at home, accessing your CCH medical
information is just a tap away on your smartphone, tablet, or computer using
MyChart™. Additionally, it enables users to share their profile with loved ones
and caregivers, ensuring those within the circle of care have timely and
accurate information.
MyChart™ was first introduced at
CCH in 2021 to enhance people-centred care and empower individuals and families
to take charge of their health journeys. Since then, more than 20,000 users
from CCH have registered for MyChart™ to manage their care effectively.
As of this week:
- All patient records previously accessible
through MyChart™ have been restored to their former availability.
- Health records generated during the MyChart™
offline period are now available.
- New registrations for MyChart™ are open.
An exciting new feature is the
introduction of automated appointment reminders directly within MyChart™ for
most CCH clinics, ensuring you never miss an appointment.
Using MyChart™ is safe and
secure. Developed and managed by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, one of
Canada's renowned academic health sciences centres, it utilizes the same
encryption technology as online banking. Dozens of hospitals across Canada
utilize Sunnybrook’s MyChart™ service to provide greater and secure access to
medical records for their patients and families.
For more information or to register for MyChart™, visit cornwallhospital.ca/mychart. Existing users do not need to register again.
If you already use MyChart™, simply log in as usual to find your records
restored. We thank you for your patience and understanding while the service
was offline, and we are happy to be (re)engaging with you!
