The Pharmacy Department within Cornwall Community Hospital
prepares, compounds, stocks, and dispenses inpatient medications. Pharmacists
and pharmacy technicians work closely with patients, physicians, nurses, and
other healthcare professionals to ensure medication is distributed in a safe
and effective manner. As part of the health care team, pharmacists are
responsible for monitoring and optimizing drug therapy, while pharmacy
technicians play a central role in all aspects of drug distribution and
interact with patients to document medication histories.
